The Kentros Story
Founded in 2012, Kentros Biosciences was formed to address a critical challenge that scientists and researchers in East Africa were facing - the lack of access to products and technologies that were easily available elsewhere.
We wanted to change the way suppliers served their customers because for far too long the scientists were at the mercy of their suppliers who had little or no understanding of the requirements of the researchers. With this in mind, we have put together a portfolio of very high calibre life sciences products for our customers in East Africa. We have partnered with Bioline, 4titude, Nimagen, AHN Biotechnologie and FluidX as their exclusive distributor in East Africa in order to bring these amazing products right to the bench of our scientists.
This, together with our consultative approach, scientific expertise and proactive attitude towards stellar customer service will help ensure that our researchers have ready access to all the tools and technologies required to catapult them to the leading edge of world class molecular biology research. Our team
Jeremiah Matogo - Founder
Jeremiah is responsible for the day to day running of the company. He has over 8 years' experience in the life sciences supply industry, having worked in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa as a sales manager and also founder of other scientific supply companies. Sophie Mukwana Gitonga - Sales Manager
Sophie is responsible for sales and marketing activities within the East Africa region. She is a serial entrepreneur with a warm and charming personality, and is constantly buzzing with new ideas for business development. She holds a bachelors degree in Chemistry and a masters degree in Forensic Science. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys coming up with new pastry recipes, hosting fun lunches and dinners and blogging.
